A senior MP and a member of the executive board of the Majlis has emphasized that the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) is the red line for the Iranian parliament (Majlis) and the nation.

Iran Press/Iran news: In an exclusive interview with Iran Press on Tuesday, senior MP and member of the executive board of the parliament (Majlis) Ahmad Amirabadi said: "Today, all MPs in the Majlis from across the political spectrum and from all political parties have donned IRGC uniforms and have come to parliament to show that we are serious when it comes to red lines."

Amirabadi went on to say: "Whoever does anything unwise and ignorant, Iranian nation, the armed forces, and the Iranian parliament will stand against it."

The senior MP added: "It seems that the US will be hit hard by the passage of this triple urgent bill in the parliament (Majlis)."

Turning to US politicians, the Executive Board member of the Majlis advised politicians of both parties in the American Congress to stop Donald Trump's mindless behaviour.

The Trump administration designated Iran's elite Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) a foreign terrorist organization on Monday 8 April.

In retaliation, Iran's Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) designated American military forces in West Asia, known as the United States Central Command (CENTCOM), as a 'terrorist organization.'
