Pompeo admits US isolation in world

The US secretary of state has acknowledged the US global isolation against Iran in a tweet.

Iran PressAmerica: The US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo tweeted part of his recent interview with Fox News about Iran on Monday.

In an interview with Fox News, Pompeo, while trying to justify the global isolation of the United States and its humiliating failure, especially on the subject of the draft resolution on the extension of Iran's arms embargo, said: "The American people should know that President Donald Trump will always do the right thing. If it means we have to stand alone and lead, we’re always going to do it."

Attempts by US officials to extend the arms embargo on Iran failed at the UN Security Council.

Following a formal US request to the UN Security Council to reinstate sanctions lifted by UN Security Council Resolution 2231, 13 members, four permanent and nine non-permanent, explicitly stated that the US request had no legal basis.
