Iran Press/ Iran news: Major-General Yahya Safavi, accompanied by some doctoral students from the Supreme National Defense University, visited the 1st Zone' Imamat' of Iran's Navy in Bandar Abbas on Saturday.
Commemorating the second martyrdom anniversary of Lt. Gen. Qasem Soleimani, General Safavi stated: "The United States and its arrogant puppets posed many threats to disrupt the mission of Navy's 75th Flotilla, but the crew, despite all the threats, crossed the rough seas for 150 days and nights without docking and were warmly welcomed by the Russians."
He noted that the 75th Fleet's presence in the Atlantic Ocean and crossing the English Channel is an example of Iran's becoming a significant regional power, where the Navy's strategic role was revealed to everyone.
Iran's 75th Navy Flotilla, including the country's largest warship, IRINS Makran, and destroyer IRINS Sahand, entered the territorial waters of the Islamic Republic of Iran on Thursday, September 9, after 150 days of navigation in the high seas and oceans and traveling 44000 km.
The two-ship Iranian Navy group returned home through the West Coast of Africa and the Baltic Sea this summer.
