Iran Press/ Asia: Iran and Türkiye have historically shared economic, political, and security interests, leading to over 400 years of cooperation.
Following the will of the two countries' officials, Mehdi Safari, Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister for Economic Diplomacy, led an economic delegation, including the National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC), the Ministry of Industry, Mines and Trade, the Ministry of Agriculture and the Central Bank of Iran (CBI), to Türkiye.
On Monday, the Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Economic Diplomacy held talks with the Deputy Minister of Economic and Financial Affairs of Türkiye over the expansion of financial and economic ties between the two countries.
The Deputy Minister of Economic Diplomacy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran called for increased commercial and economic cooperation between the two countries, highlighting Tehran and Ankara's cultural and historical commonalities.
He added that bilateral economic goals are achievable by identifying obstacles and suggesting solutions.
Deputy Minister of Economic and Financial Affairs of Türkiye referred to the agreements made during the meeting of the Supreme Council of the Relations between Iran and Türkiye in Tehran last year, where the presidents of the two countries recommended the practical expansion of the relations.
