Iran Press/ Africa: The leaders of the African Union, stating at the end of their 37th summit held on Sunday in Addis Ababa, the capital of Ethiopia, demanded an independent investigation into the Israeli regime's attacks on hospitals, journalists, and media, as well as the use of prohibited weapons in its war on the Gaza Strip.
They strongly condemned the crimes of the Israeli regime against more than 2 million Palestinians in Gaza and demanded a permanent ceasefire and an end to the siege of the Palestinian city.
The African leaders also condemned the collective crack-down on the civilians in the Gaza Strip and the attempts made to forcibly relocate them to the Sinai Peninsula in Egypt.
The statement criticized some states that helped the Israeli regime and showed a green light to the regime for more military attacks on the Gaza Strip.
It was on October 7 that the Palestinian Resistance carried out Operation Al-Aqsa Flood on the Israeli regime's forces in response to the regime's daily crimes against the Palestinian people during 75 years of occupation of Palestine since 1948.
Since then, the Israeli regime got into a frenzy and began to pound the Gaza Strip with bombs; so far nearly 29,000 people have been martyred, and over 68,000 others were wounded, a large part of whom are non-civilians including women and children.
South Africa filed a complaint against the Zionist regime at the International Court of Justice (ICJ) in The Hague, which led to a verdict against the regime under which the Israeli regime was supposed to take measures to stop the genocide in Gaza.
Yet, the regime began new attacks on the Palestinian city, such that these days it is attacking Rafah, south of Gaza, where the people displaced due to the regime's war have resorted to.
The regime has failed both to destroy Hamas and release the Israelis taken captive by the Palestinian resistance group. 219
