Prime Minister of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif expressed his condolences to the Iranian Ambassador to Pakistan on the death of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi and Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian in a helicopter accident.

Iran PressEurope: The Prime Minister of Pakistan visited the Iranian Embassy in Islamabad and condoled with the Iranian Ambassador Raza Amiri Moghadam and the diplomatic staff. On this occasion, Shahbaz Sharif said that he was deeply shocked and saddened by the tragic news of the martyrdom of his brother, the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ebrahim Raisi, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, in a helicopter accident. He said that we express our heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and the people of the Islamic Republic of Iran in this hour of sorrow and grief, and all our sympathies and prayers are with the families of the martyrs and the Iranian people.

The Prime Minister said while expressing his views about President Ebrahim Raisi: "he was a brilliant scholar and visionary leader. His services to his nation as well as to the strengthening of Pakistan-Iran relations and regional cooperation will always be remembered."

The Prime Minister of Pakistan further said that President Raisi's visit to Pakistan last month strengthened our bilateral relations, may Allah grant the deceased a high place in heaven.

Iranian Ambassador to Pakistan Raza Amiri Moghadam thanked Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and the Pakistani nation for standing with Iran in this difficult time.

On this occasion, the Iranian Ambassador said that late President Dr. Raisi also considered Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif as the best person and a friend of Iran. He respects the sentiments and words of Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif for late President Raisi. The Iranian Ambassador further said that "the late President Ebrahim Raisi's vision of strengthening and promoting Pakistan-Iran relations will be continued."

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also wrote words of condolence in the visitor's book of the embassy in honor of the Iranian president.

Belarus officials condolence Iran for the loss

Following the martyrdom of President Ebrahim Raisi and Iran's Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, the people and officials of Belarus attended the Iranian embassy in Minsk on Monday, paid their respects and laid a wreath, and expressed their condolences to the Iranian government and nation.

Government officials, political, religious, and cultural figures as well as Iranians living in Headline: Belarus were present at the ceremony.

Alireza Sanei, Iran's ambassador to Belarus, appreciated the sympathy of the people and authorities of Belarus and considered the martyrdom of these two as a great loss for Iran and the region and said that Iran always appreciates the love and sympathy of the people and government of Belarus.

The ambassador of Iran in Belarus stated that the presence of the people and officials of Belarus shows the deep and long-standing friendly relations between the two nations of Iran and Belarus, as well as the respect of the people of this country for the Islamic Republic.

Due to the martyrdom of the President of Iran and his companions in the helicopter crash, the flag of the Islamic Republic at the embassy was half-mast.

Nigerian President extends condolences to Iran over the martyrdom of President Raisi, FM

President Bola Ahmad Tinubu has joined world leaders in extending his condolences to the government and the entire people of the Islamic Republic of Iran over the passing of Iranian President, Sayyed Ebrahim Raisi, Iranian foreign minister, Amir Hossein Amir- Abdollahian and other officials who were martyred in a helicopter crash.

In a statement on Monday through his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, President Bola Ahmad Tinubu expressed profound grief over the tragedy that shocked the world.

The Nigerian president described late President Raisi as a leader who was passionately committed to the development of Iran."

On behalf of the government and people of Nigeria, the President assured the Islamic Republic of Nigeria’s support and prayers in this moment of grief," the statement said.

"While commiserating with the bereaved families, President Tinubu prays for the continuous peace, stability, and prosperity of the Iranian nation."

UN chief extends condolences over martyrdom of Iran President

UN Secretary-General, Antonio Guterres, on Monday, conveyed condolences to Iran over the pass away of Iranian President, Ebrahim Raisi, and other senior government officials in a tragic helicopter crash, Anadolu Agency reports.

The Secretary-General is saddened by the death of H.E. Mr. Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, H.E. Mr. Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, Minister for Foreign Affairs, and their colleagues in a helicopter accident on 19 May,” said his spokesman, Stephane Dujarric, said in a statement.

Guterres also expressed his sincere condolences to the families of the deceased and the Government and people of the Islamic Republic of Iran, said the statement.

Japanese Kishida Mourns the Passing of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi

In a statement, Prime Minister Kishida expressed deep sorrow over the sudden demise of Iranian President  Ebrahim Raisi.

The Prime Minister highlighted their candid discussions on bilateral relations and regional matters, extending heartfelt condolences to Iran and the bereaved family on behalf of Japan.

A helicopter, carrying President Raisi, Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, and other officials, crashed in the Dizmar forest between Varzaqan and Jolfa. The group was returning from an event inaugurating a dam on the Aras River with Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev.

Head of Ulema of Islamic Community of Bosnia and Herzegovina condole Leader on tragic loss of President Raisi, FM

The head of the Islamic community of Bosnia and Herzegovina extended his condolences to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution through a message.

Following the martyrdom of Iran's President and Minister of Foreign Affairs and accompanying delegation due to the crash of the helicopter carrying him, the head of the Ulema of the Islamic Community of Bosnia and Herzegovina expressed his condolences to the Supreme Leader.

According to the Iran Press news agency, from Sarajevo, Hossein Efendi Kavazovic, the head of the Islamic community of Bosnia and Herzegovina, expressed his condolences to the Supreme Leader on the martyrdom of President Raisi, the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir- Abdollahian and their companions.

This message says: "In these difficult days for the Islamic Republic of Iran and its people, I would like to express my condolences on behalf of the members of the Islamic community of Bosnia and Herzegovina on the occasion of the tragic passing of the Islamic President of Iran Mr. Ebrahim Raisi, Minister of Foreign Affairs Hossein Amir- Abdullahian and their colleagues."

"All last day we were anxiously waiting for news from brotherly Iran, hoping for good news, but God's judgment cannot be avoided and we all belong to Him and we will return to Him. We are content with what He has decreed, even though our hearts are sad."

France expresses Condolences To Iran over President Raisi's passing away

France extended its condolences on Monday to Iran over the pass away of President Ebrahim Raisi and other officials in a helicopter crash.

"France offers its condolences to the Islamic Republic of Iran following the  Pass away of President Ebrahim Raisi, Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian, and those accompanying them," the foreign ministry said in a statement, also expressing its "condolences to the families of the victims of this accident."

Ebrahim Raisi was the eighth president of Iran who was elected to run the country in the 13th presidential election in 2021. Seyed Ebrahim Raisi on Sunday (May 19, 2024) along with Hossein Amirabdollahian, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Seyyed Mohammad Ali Al-e Hashem, Friday prayers leader of Tabriz, Malek Rahmati Governor-General of East Azerbaijan, Seyed Mehdi Mousavi, head of the presidential protection team and pilots and flight crew were martyred in a plane crash upon return from Khoda'afarin Dam and on their way to Tabriz Oil Refinery in Varzghan District of East Azerbaijan Province.

On Monday, the leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Syyyed Ali Khamenei announced five days of mourning for President Ebrahim Raisi and his companions who died in a helicopter crash on a border with The Republic of Azerbaijan.
