Iran Press/Middle East: Former Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki said that in Iraq's war against ISIS terrorists, the United States refused to supply military equipment to the country, but Iran opened the doors of their military arsenal to Baghdad.
Nouri al-Maliki also provided new details about the occupation of Mosul by ISIS, saying that the fall of Mosul was accomplished by creating a conspiracy by parts of the Iraqi army to withdraw its forces.
When ISIS attacked Iraq, Nouri al-Maliki was the Iraqi Prime Minister Succeeded by Haider al-Abadi at August 2014.
In 2014, the ISIS terrorist group, with the financial and military support of the United States and its Western and Arab allies, including Saudi Arabia, invaded Iraq, occupied large parts of the northern and western parts of the country, and committed countless crimes.
Iraq called on Iran to help its army to fight terrorism. With the advisory help of the Islamic Republic of Iran, on November 17, 2017, Iraqi forces managed to liberate the last strongholds of ISIS in Iraq-Syria Border in al Anbar province (western Iraq). After the liberation of this city, the ISIS in Iraq was practically defeated.
