Iran Press/ Iran News: Speaking on Saturday at the meeting of the National Task Force Against Coronavirus, Hassan Rouhani described the coronavirus pandemic as one of the most important events of the century and said: "The virus has not been eradicated or weakened in the past 14 months since its outbreak."
Developing corona vaccine main priorities for fighting the disease
"Today, developing a vaccine is one of the main priorities for fighting the disease, and gatherings should still be considered dangerous," He added.
Government 4 main goals until last day in office
"In the four remaining months of this government’s term of office, fighting coronavirus, lifting sanctions, people's livelihoods, and finalizing projects are the government’s 4 main goals," President Rouhani stressed.
The President added: "The government will do its best to achieve these four goals, and we will definitely have acceptable conditions in the next 4 months."
Rouhani: Iran's national power; source of pride and significance
Iran's President called Iran's national power as the source of significance and pride stressing that the Iranians stood together and resisted, they could successfully pass through the issues of nature, disease, and foreign affairs.
Fourth wave of the coronavirus pandemic started
President Rouhani referring to the facts about COVID-19 saying: "In the studies, we saw that unfortunately, the fourth wave has started in two provinces, and in some other provinces, if we do not observe, we may enter this wave".
US economic war unprecedented in the last 100 years
Rouhani highlighted: "We have had two unprecedented incidents in recent years, three years of economic warfare and COVID-19 pandemic all across the world. Three years of economic war have been unprecedented in the last 100 years. We have never had a three-year economic war, and it is less common in the world."
Emphasizing that the coronavirus put a lot of pressure on the people, he stated: "People faced the virus with perseverance, unity, pious help, assistance and the efforts of doctors and the sacrifice of the medical staff."
Rouhani called Iran's record of struggles against COVID-19 and economic pressure as acceptable saying: "Some people are losing their lives in the face of this dangerous disease, others are threatening their health and their lives are becoming more difficult in the face of the economic war."
