Iran's Foreign Minister Mohammad-Javad Zarif in a tweet on Thursday blamed the United States meddling policies for the turmoil in the Middle East, describing them as a source of chaos, repression and resentment.

Iran Press/Iran news: According to an Iran Press report, Zarif tweeted: "Whenever/wherever US interferes, chaos, repression & resentment follow. The day Iran mimics US clients & @SecPompeo's 'human rights models'—be it the Shah or current butchers—to become a “normal' country is the day hell freezes over" .

"Best for the US to just get over loss of Iran," he stressed.

US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo on Thursday, while driving a counter-Iran message, followed in the footsteps of his predecessors when he delivered a policy speech from Cairo outlining Washington’s priorities.

Referring to the 'new beginning' speech delivered by former US president Barack Obama the secretary of state highlighted a set of policies set to drive the Trump foreign policy agenda in the Middle East, saying Now comes the real 'new beginning', wrote The National.

Earlier on January 9, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo speaking in the Jordanian capital Amman said: "The United States is redoubling its diplomatic and commercial efforts to counter Tehran's influence in the region."

Speaking weeks after the United States pulled out of the historic nuclear agreement, officially known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) signed between Iran and major powers in 2015, Pompeo laid out 12 tough conditions for any "new deal" with Tehran.

The conditions included withdrawal of Iran's military advisers from Syria, who have been helping the country's legitimate government in its fight against terrorist outfits, which have been mostly aided and abetted by the US and its Western and regional allies.

In a meeting with a number of Iranian lawmakers late in May, Zarif said that the new strategies declared by the US secretary of state will lead to Washington's greater isolation within the international community.

Iran Foreign Minister, Mohammad Javad Zarif added in a tweet on Dec. 3 that US is falsely accusing Iran of violating UN Security Council resolution 2231 while it has earlier breached the same resolution. 103
