According to an Iran Press report, President Rouhani speaking at the official inauguration and unveiling ceremony of two major petrochemical and one power-generation project in Assalouyeh on Tuesday, emphasized that the enemies will never achieve their aims. He said: "They will never be able to halt Iran's progress. They will never dominate Iran, as they did before the Islamic revolution."
President Rouhani pointedly added: "They want to turn the clock back forty years. But this will never happen. It is impossible for the ill-wishers to take us back in time forty years."
Elsewhere in his remarks, President Rouhani said "We invested billions of dollars in these projects, which are being unveiled today. No doubt, we will reap many billions of dollars in terms of profits and benefits in the years to come."
Turning to job creation, President Rouhani said: "1200 jobs are being created directly as a result of the three projects which are unveiled today. Many thousands more jobs are indirectly linked to these petrochemical projects. So literally, we are creating thousands of jobs, particularly for young people, and we shall continue to create jobs in the future."
In further remarks, President Rouhani said in the past five years, 14 major petrochemical projects have been inaugurated and today are fully operational. Each one of these has created many hundreds, if not thousands of jobs. Indeed, some of the projects inaugurated today, were started and completed in a period were cruel and illegal sanctions were slapped upon us. This signals our victory, we will overcome sanctions, and will emerge victorious and prosperous.
