Iranian Defence Minister said that the country will use all legitimate means to confront US unilateral oil sanctions.

Iran Press/Iran news: "US will never be able to reduce Iranian oil exports to zero and Tehran will continue to export its oil despite these desperate efforts" Brigadier General Amir Hatami said.

Talking to Al-Manar TV in the sidelines of a security conference in Moscow, he added that there would be a lot of chances to export its oil despite the US ban.

Iran enjoys self-sufficiency in all domains, including the military development, reminding that the Islamic Republic had faced a forty-year siege and sanctions, Hatami noted.

White House said US President Donald Trump has decided not to re-issue waivers that allow eight countries to buy Iranian oil without facing US sanctions when they expire in May.

Trump had earlier vowed to reduce Tehran’s oil revenue to “zero.”

Iran has, however, vowed to use its decades of experience with US bans and go around the new ones.

Speaking in a meeting with a group of labourers from across the nation on April 24, Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei assured that Iran will continue its oil exports as much as it intends.

The Leader warned the US that its hostile measure will be countered and stressed that it should know that this hostile measure will not be left without a reaction. 101/213
