Pakistan's Minister for Finance, Asad Umar has called for boosting of bilateral ties, trade, and economic cooperation between Islamabad and Tehran.

Asia: According to an Iran Press report, Pakistan Minister of Finance said on Monday that the country maintains deep-rooted cultural and brotherly relations with the Islamic republic of Iran, and that the volume of trade exchanges between the two nations should be further boosted.

Currently, the trade volume between Iran and Pakistan is about $ 1.5 billion, Umar said, adding that, in addition to Iran, trade exchanges can be improved with all other neighboring countries.

The Pakistani finance minister also stressed Islamabad welcomes foreign investments, saying as Iran's eastern neighbor the country provides foreign investors with a lot of opportunities in different fields."We will welcome all countries who want to invest here", Umar said.
