Iranian president said that his country will increase its level of uranium enrichment after 7 July to whatever levels it needs.

Iran Press/Iran news: "If the remaining signatories of the nuclear deal with world powers do not fulfill their promises, then the Arak nuclear reactor will return to its previous activities after July 7," President Hassan Rouhani said on Wednesday speaking at a cabinet meeting.

“As we have said before, if the other sides return to their commitments, Iran will swiftly return to the terms of the agreement, and if we produce high amounts, we will sell it to other countries like Russia and get Yellow Cake instead in a short time,” he said according to president Rouhani's official website.

He also said that Iran has announced that it has made no commitments regarding the production of 130 tonnes of heavy water and it may increase, saying, “If the conditions of the deal are met, returning to under 130 tonnes will be done very fast as well.”

“Iran has never intended to be stubborn and pull out of the deal, and the other sides can never criticise Iran for its actions, because Iran has repeatedly extended its deadlines at the request of European leaders,” he said.

The President also said that Europe has not lived up to what it has promised to Iran, saying, “People should know that Iran has never acted based on impulse, but completely on logic and reason.”

 Americans started the fire

Referring to US President Donald Trump's “playing with fire” reaction Monday to Iran's surpassing of the enriched uranium stockpile limit, Rouhani stressed that the best way for the United States is to fix its mistake, saying, “If the US is so much afraid of the word fire, then it must not start the flames.”

“The Americans started the fire in the region a year ago, but they are saying that playing with fire is dangerous, while they are after sparking fire,” the president noted.

He continued, “The only way to put off this fire is to return to commitments and United Nations’ resolutions, but if they do not want to return to these commitments, the Islamic Republic of Iran will start the next step exactly after 60 days.”

“So far, the Americans have been saying that JCPOA was a bad deal, but they are very upset about Iran distancing itself a bit from this deal,” he said.

INSTEX is only a mechanism without money

The President went on to describe Europe’s Instrument in Support of Trade Exchanges (INSTEX) only a show, saying, “Today, INSTEX is only a mechanism without money, and an empty INSTEX is not useful at all, but if INSTEX is activated and Iran gets is oil money, it can be acceptable to some extent despite its shortcomings.”

He also said that “Iran advises the United States and Europe to return to the negotiation table,” adding, “Everybody must act based on the JCPOA.”

The president added, “We could not remain silent in reaction to the inaction of the other side, and that's why we have done these things, but the other sides should know that at any hour that they come back to the JCPOA, we will return as well; we are still in the deal and all the actions we do are to save the deal.”

Committing crimes is easy for the Americans

Referring to the shooting down of an Iranian commercial airliner by American warship in 1988, the President said, “This proved that committing crimes is easy for the Americans”.

“Americans say that they mistook an Airbus passenger airplane for an F14 fighter jet, which is ridiculous,” he said.

Rouhani also said: “The Americans did not apologise to the Iranian nation for the downing of a passenger plane, but they also gave the captain of the warship a medal.” 101/211
