Tehran (IP) - A senior Iranian MP has urged the government to adopt a much tougher approach to the lawless behaviour and open flouting of international agreements by the United States.

Iran press/Iran news: In an exclusive interview with Iran Press on Sunday, senior MP and member of the Economic Affairs Commission of the parliament, Rahim Zare said: "I think the experience of 40 years of the Islamic Revolution has proven beyond any doubt that US intentions [towards Iran] are always malevolent and never bona fide. America has never honoured the [multilateral] agreements that it has signed, and it has never honoured the pledges and promises that it has made."

The senior MP went on to say: "The Iranian government must take commensurate reciprocal action in relation to abrogation and dishonouring of the JCPOA by the United States."

"The Iranian people certainly support such an approach, the government must take a much tougher line on those countries abrogating or dishonouring the multilateral nuclear agreement, the Joint Comprehensive Plan Of Action (JCPOA). If the government did this, the entire nation and the families of the martyrs of the Revolution will be much more satisfied. This is what the nation wants," he noted.

MP Rahim Zare further added: "America has never honoured the multilateral treaties and agreements that it has entered into. It is high time the Iranian government took a tough line on this open flouting of international laws and agreements by the United States." 101/211
