Iran Press/ Asia: It seems that US President Donald Trump is falsely trying to control Taliban advancing across Afghanistan by bombing the Afghan people while deciding to withdraw US forces from Afghanistan prior to the 2020 US elections. According to the newly released US Air Force data, US is dropping more bombs on Afghanistan in 2018 than ever before.
United States Air Forces Central Command munitions data shows that in 10 months of 2018, US dropped 5982 bombs in Afghanistan. Even more than 2011 at the height of the former US President Barack Obama's troop surge, that US had dropped 4,453 bombs on Afghanistan, Iran Press reported.
In the entirety of 2011, the US dropped 4,896 bombs on Afghanistan. That means that with two months left in the year, the US has already dropped more than a thousand more bombs on Afghanistan than it did in any other year on record.
Afghan officials said that at least 30 civilians were killed in the US air strikes on province of Helmand on Wednesday Nov 28, 2018.

On Wednesday, just a day before the latest Air Force data was released, the US military said it was investigating claims that about two dozen civilians were killed by a U.S. strike in southern Helmand province.
Increase of bombing Afghan people happens while US President Donald Trump declared his policy to bring the Taliban to the negotiating table while his administration ramped up the bombing campaign.
The United Nations reported in the last month the number of civilian casualties from air strikes in the first nine months of the year was already higher than any other year since at least 2009.
The increase has come together with a sharp jump in the number of air operations in the 17-year war.
This Wednesday, US TV network NBC News reported that Trump seeks to withdraw the US from the country prior to the 2020 American elections.
US intelligence agencies warned that despite the Trump's bombing increases, the Taliban has continued to make gains in the country. According to the US Military's Special Inspector General on Afghanistan Reconstruction (CIGAR) Afghan authorities control or influence come to less than 55 percent of the country.
That's the lowest figure since the US organization oversight areas under Taliban or government control from November 2015.
