Tehran (IP) - Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman reacted to a claim by the acting director of the Future of Iran Initiative at the Atlantic Council's South Asia Center Barbara Slavin in his twitter account.

Reacting to American journalist Barbara Slavin's reaction to Iranian FM Zarif's tweet where he criticized racism in the US, Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Seyyed Abbas Mousavi stated, "We need to be indeed. But when it comes to world insecurity & instability, the US has much to atone for. Clinton won popular votes; Trump was elected. This isn't a democracy. Ayatollah Khamenei has been appointed by Iran's Assembly of Experts. @khamenei_ir is our spiritual & political leader."
