Tehran (IP) - Minister of Roads and Urban Development, noted that the government has made every effort to prevent the price hike in public transportation.

Iran Press/Iran news: On the sideline of today's cabinet session, Mohammad Eslami in an exclusive interview with Iran Press referred to the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development's efforts to boost public transportation after an increase in gas prices and stated: "For public transportation, we have managed and we have coordinated with the unions who are in charge of this inter-city transportation."

"We will give some advantages to them in order to prevent increasing prices. Most of the transportation is not with gasoline, it is with diesel. So we do not face any difficulty in this regard," he stated.

Iran's government has cut gas subsidies to fund support for the poor and middle class.
