Iran Press/ Iran News: Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari, along with, Head of the Maritime Industries Organization of the Ministry of Defense Admiral Amir Rastegari, and, Commander of the Navy Rear Admiral Hossein Khanzadi, on Sunday morning, visited the ongoing projects of the Maritime Industries Organization of Iran's Ministry of Defense in Bandar Anzali and was closely acquainted with the progress of Damavand destroyer construction.
After the visit, Sayyari expressed his satisfaction and appreciation for the efforts of the Marine Industry specialists of the Ministry of Defense and said, "Thanks to the Islamic Revolution and self-confidence in the day and night efforts of specialists and staff of the Maritime Industries Organization, we have reached the level where we design and produce the needs of the armed forces and we have been able to defend our country's interests in high seas.
"As long as we believe in our own abilities, we can make progress, but if we lose faith and self-confidence, we will be dominated by the enemy.", highlighted Sayyari
"The country's defense progress has been made under the shadow of the toughest sanctions, so we believe we can achieve whatever we want; self-confidence and confidence in young people in the maritime industry have led to no shortage in the maritime sector," he said.
During the visit, the head of the Maritime Industries Organization of the Ministry of Defense also presented a report describing the activities and projects of the Marine Industries Organization of Iran's Ministry of Defense.
Damavand destroyer which is being constructed by the Ministry of Defense Industries in the field of propulsion, weapons, radar systems, sonar, fire, and telecommunications guidance has been upgraded from the previous fleet and in the near future, the flag of the Islamic Republic of Iran will be flown in the Caspian Sea.
