Tehran (IP) - "If the United States put aside its ambitions and excessive demands we are for negotiation and logic," Iran's Foreign Minister, Hossein Amir Abdollahian, told reporters on Tuesday.

Iran PressIran news: Iran's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hossein Amir Abdollahian, at the sidelines of the national day of "Islamic Human Rights," attended among the reporters and talked about the latest developments in the field of foreign policy, especially the newest condition of talks on Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action dubbed as JCPOA.

He said: "here have been calls and messages exchanged between Iran and Joseph Borrell, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy.

In recent weeks, while we were preparing for the negotiations, the US proposed a resolution against Iran at IAEA to gain an advantage at the negotiating table, which received a decisive response.

Last month, IIran'sForeign Minister, after a phone call with EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell, said that "n agreement is possible only based on mutual understanding and interests."

He added: "In this week, due to Borrell's initiative and preparation of a text for four plus one countries, we were getting ready for a new round of negotiations, but the new resolution was issued yesterday, and sanctions are increasing every day.

He said: "even Borrell says in the text he prepared, considering the failure of Trump's sanctions, but unfortunately, the US side is not listening."

Iranian FM pointed out that these steps are only for the show's aim and have no effect.

He went on to say that In response to this action, new centrifuges were installed last night, And if the US continues, we will not remain silent.

Regarding the recent developments in Iraq, the Iranian Foreign Minister also said: "e believe that the leaders of Iraq and authority play an essential role, and with the wisdom of the political leaders, the situation in Iraq will stabilize.

He also, about the Sweden court verdict issued against Iranian citizen Hamid Nouri said: "the sentence is unfair; in my last call with SSweden'sFM, I said that you should not act based on the claim of MKO terrorist group (MEK or Mujahedin-e-Khalq Organization), which martyred 17,000 Iranians in various terrorist attacks, and you should act legally and politically.

The MKO has conducted numerous assassinations and bombings against Iranian politicians and civilians since the 1979 victory of the IIran'sIslamic Revolution. Its members fled Iran in 1986 to Iraq, where they enjoyed backing from former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein.

Out of the nearly 17,000 Iranians killed in terrorist assaults since the Islamic Revolution were victims of the MKO's acts of terror.

The anti-Iran cult was on the US government's list of terrorist organizations until 2012. Central European countries, including France, have also removed it from their blocklists.
