The spokesperson of Iran's Nuclear Energy Organization announced that hundreds of new and advanced centrifuges have been commissioned.

Iran PressIran News: In a television interview on Monday night, the spokesperson of Iran's Nuclear Energy Organization, Behrouz Kamalvandi stated: "The order to start hundreds of new centrifuge machines was given on Monday evening, which consists of IR6 and IR1 advanced machines.

Kamalvandi added: "This action was taken in line with the implementation of the "Strategic Action Plan to Lift Sanctions and Protect Iranian Nation's Interest” in addition to reaching the minimum enrichment level of 190,000 separative work units (SWUs), which is the level of the country's needs. In this regard, the International Atomic Energy Agency has been informed."

He pointed out: "We had installed these machines and the start of operation of 500 IR6 machines is a process of 10 to 15 days."

The Islamic Republic of Iran fulfilled its nuclear commitments within the framework of the JCPOA for one year, but since the European countries that are members of the JCPOA failed to fulfill their commitments, Iran implemented the reduction of the JCPOA commitments in 5 steps from May 2019.

Meanwhile, with the continued failure of European countries to implement their JCPOA obligations, the Iranian Parliament on December 1, 2020, approved the 9-article law titled "Strategic Action Plan to Lift Sanctions and Protect Iranian Nation's Interest”. 219
