Iran Press/ Iran news: The first vice president described the signing of the agreement on the implementation of the North-South Corridor project as an important step in boosting the relations between Iran and Russia and said: "We must seriously follow up on the implementation of this agreement and I am sure that the countries of the region will benefit from this action."
Mohammad Mokhber, in the meeting with Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak on Wednesday evening, emphasized that the private sector of the two countries should enter the field of bilateral economic interactions, and stated: We should try to take the lead of the private sector of the two countries in all capacities.
The first vice president emphasized the acceleration of removing the dollar from currency relations and added: "Depolarization in the financial exchanges of Tehran and Moscow is of great importance to speed up the process of economic cooperation."
The need to address the development of cooperation in the fields related to oil, transportation and automobile manufacturing was one of the other issues emphasized by the first vice president in this meeting.
The North-South Corridor will create a passage for the countries of the region
In this meeting, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak thanked the First Vice President for his special attention to the North-South Corridor project and said: "This corridor will create a strategic route for Iran and Russia and all countries in the region."
Referring to the examination of various fields of cooperation in the negotiations of the two delegations, he said: In this trip, bilateral cooperation in the fields of oil, gas, banking, industry and agriculture was examined and we reached good agreements in commercial and economic fields.
Referring to his visits to some industrial centers of Iran, the Deputy Prime Minister of Russia also praised the capabilities of Iran in various fields of science and technology and added: "Moscow is looking for new peaks in commercial and economic cooperation with Tehran."
On the sidelines of this meeting, Iran's Oil Minister Javad Owji and Russia's Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak, as the heads of the joint commission for commercial and economic cooperation between the two countries, signed a joint statement regarding bilateral cooperation.
