Iran Press/ Middle East: According to the Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni news website, after the member of the Saudi-affiliated Presidential Leadership Council of Yemen Tariq Afash met with the US ambassador to Yemen Steven Harris Fagin on Monday, the Saudi media announced that the two are planning to thwart the political settlement of the Saudi-Yemeni crisis.
The meeting was held in the shadow of Riyadh's getting away from Washington, the S. Arabia-Iran reconciliation and the Saudis getting closer to Russia and China.
It is said that Fagin has shown the green light to Afash for rebelling against the Saudi-led coalition and the presidential council, promising support for him.
Still, after the meeting, militants affiliated with Afash were stationed in the southwest of Yemen overlooking the Red Sea.
Al-Mayadeen reported that Saudi Arabia had informed the council of its decision for ending the war on Yemen.
