Iran Press/ Iran News: "Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin has recently said that the US is replacing sanctions to war with Iran. Sanctions are a modern alternative to the genocide of terrorism and a form of a silent war, but they make mistakes and deceive their public opinion and the world. They say they are not looking for war. American citizens will know that the US is seeking to sanction Iran, its people, their lives, and the livelihoods, health, safety, and security of every Iranian," Rabiei said.
Rabiei stated the US says it is not looking for war but the sanctions will threaten world peace and security. This is a kind of war imposed on homeless people.
In the following, the government spokesman commented on the upcoming trip of Iranian president to Japan, said: "President Rouhani will be looking to strengthen economic and business ties with Japan in his upcoming trip. But certainly, President Rouhani will not enter into any sort of negotiations with the Americans during his visit to Tokyo. Meanwhile, if the Japanese side has any messages or proposals for us, we will certainly study these very carefully."

Commenting on Iran's possible accession to FATF and the Palermo convention, Rabiei said: "We are glad that the Expediency Council will once again be deliberating and examining the issue of Iran joining the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) and the Palermo Convention.

He pointed out the impeachment of some ministers, including the interior minister and the oil minister and said that impeaching these ministers are not in the interests of the country.
"Oil Minister Zanganeh is at the forefront of the US economic war against Iran, and his impeachment is not in the best interest of the country", Rabiei added.
The spokesman also dismissed rumors that some ministers in Rouhani's cabinet offered him to resign. 207
