Tehran (IP) - Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) wrote on his Twitter account that the US opposition to the Iranian loan application from the International Monetary Fund was a violation of the Obligations Erga Omnes.

Iran Press/Iran news: Ali Shamkhani tweeted on Saturday: "Third-party governments have two obligations: to cut ties with the violating government and to take action to resolve the illegal situation. Europe only expressed regret as usual! We have to be strong."

According to Kristalina Georgieva, IMF Managing Director, the body will provide $ 50 billion in emergency aid to countries affected by Corona.

Abdul Nasser Hemmati, the governor of the Central Bank, wrote a letter to the head of IMF in March 2020, announcing that given the size of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s quota in the fund(about $5 billion), it calls for the use of the RFI fast financing facility of around $5 billion.
