Iran Press/ Asia: In an exclusive interview with CGTN on his visit to China, Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi talked about the impact of decades of US- led sanctions.
Raisi calls them a "form of war" whose brunt is borne by ordinary people, especially those needing essential medicine. Despite causing "immense sufferings," this "incredibly cruel" tool has not been able to change the Islamic establishment in Iran that the US wants.
He further said that the US was the one to abandon the nuclear pact by walking away from the talks and is now trying to foment unrest on Iran's streets.
President Raisi said that the US and the EU are making the same mistake, and they are miscalculating Iran, for they believe they can affect Iranian nation by their measures; he called it a big mistake.
Iranian president went on to stress: "The Biden administration's Iran policy is no different from that of Trump's."
