Tehran (IP) - Toppling National Governments is the primary option for the US to impose its hegemony across the globe to manage its interests. Target countries are those who oppose US foreign policy of interference in their internal affairs or are not interested in following US policies.

Iran PressIran news: In Aug.1953, colonial powers, whose interests had been threatened by the nationalization of the Iranian oil industry, plotted a coup against Iranian Prime Minister Mosaddegh to appoint their own puppet to control the oil-rich Iran.

Sixty-eight years ago, around this time, American and British intelligence services organized a coup in Iran that arguably changed the equations in the Middle East.

The 1953 Iranian coup or 28 Mordad coup, is one of the blatant and undeniable examples that shows the hegemonic power does not give a damn about democracy and freedom; whenever the arrogant power sees it is losing its interests; so, it undermines the independence of other countries.

The 1953 Iranian coup d'état, known in Iran as the 28 Mordad coup d'état, was the overthrow of the democratically elected Prime Minister Mohammad Mosaddegh in favor of strengthening the monarchical rule of the Shah, Mohammad Reza Pahlavi on 19 August 1953.

An Iranian court has begun the trial of the US administration and its officials over the 1953 coup against the democratically-elected government of Prime Minister Mohammad Mosaddegh.

The first session of the trial was held at the 55th branch of the court dealing with international affairs in Tehran’s Imam Khomeini Judicial Complex on Sunday, on the occasion of the 71st anniversary of the coup.

The court will hear a lawsuit filed by some 402,000 Iranians against six American natural persons and legal enteritis over their role in the ousting of Mosaddegh that consolidated the rule of the pro-Western monarch, Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, until the 1979 Islamic Revolution.
