Iran Press/Iran news: During his weekly press conference on Monday, Seyyed Abbas Mousavi responded to Iran Press correspondent's question about to what extent is the UN Secretary-General's alleged report on the Iranian origin of weapons used in Aramco's attack, as well as the IAEA’s report that claims Iran does not allow any visitor to two nuclear sites, consistent with US efforts to continue Iran's arms embargo.
Mousavi said that they were all baseless claims and have been released due to Saudi Arabia’s pressure.
He went on to say that no document has proved their claim and it is unfortunate that the United Nations is under pressure by some countries.
The official added that the US has got international organizations, hostage, for many years.
In response to a question, Mousavi said: "The action taken by the UN Secretariat on the issue of Yemen is baseless and we evaluate it based on the pressure of the United States and the Saudi regime. We found no evidence to substantiate their claims, and they did so based on some specific information," adding that: "We regret that the Secretary-General of the United Nations and the Secretariat of the United Nations have been pressured by certain countries to approve or read reports that are unfounded. The United States has been holding international organizations, hostage, for years."
"The IAEA report has nothing to do with the issue of the JCPOA and opens the closed issue, based on their allegations of spying by the Zionist regime and Netanyahu himself. It is unfortunate that the IAEA, instead of relying on convincing evidence and looking at Iran's high-level cooperation, has so far abandoned these and accepted the Israeli regime's claims and based its questions on a regime that its hostility to the people and our system and the international system is clear.
The spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said about the meeting of the Board of Governors: "We hope that no resolution will be issued against Iran." The meeting is based on the claim of the Israeli Prime Minister. We do not consider this approach of the agency constructive. The agency must maintain its neutrality and its reports must be convincing and legal.
He advised the IAEA to be a little more far-sighted in this regard and to base its questions on a legal basis. Iran has so far had a high level of cooperation with the IAEA, and they should appreciate this cooperation and not enter into unnecessary matters. We hope that their meeting will lead to a result that is important, efficient, and constructive for maintaining international peace and security.
The IAEA’s report has nothing to do with JCPOA (Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action) and they are reopening a closed issue which is based on PM Benjamin Netanyahu’s spy actions, Mousavi highlighted.
"Iran has so far had a high level of cooperation with the IAEA, while the US’s hostility with Iran’s government is crystal clear," he noted.
He added: "Our cooperation with the IAEA continued when we reduced our commitments, and the reduction of the commitments was made available to the IAEA under their supervision and notification. If they follow this procedure, there will be some problems with interacting with this organization. We hope that the IAEA and the rest of the Board of Governors, under pressure from the United States and the Zionist regime, will not make a non-constructive decision. If a non-constructive decision is made, Iran may react appropriately and they will probably guess what Iran's response will be.
In response to another question, Mousavi said that the United States is boycotting the Nord Stream project and made the Germans to compliant. We welcome Germany's claim that the United States is endangering Europe's energy security. The United States has endangered not only energy security but also the political and economic security of the world, and the silence of the international community has led them to sanction friendly countries like Germany.
Referring to US sanctions against judges of the International Criminal Court, he said: "These show that the United States is pursuing international anarchism and disrupting public order in the world. There is no doubt that the United States has such intentions. 212/ 104
