Iran Press/Iran news: Writing a twit on Friday, Iran's ambassador to the UK Hamid Baeidinejad announced that UK Foreign Secretary Jeremy Hunt met with spokesman and chief negotiator for Yemen’s Houthi Ansarullah movement, Mohammed Abdul-Salam, during his visit to Oman.
Highlighting the meeting, Baeidinejad stated: "This visit is important because Saudi Arabia has never recognized Ansarullah and represents them as a rebel group," Iran Press reported.
Also, Jeremy Hunt by posting a message on Twitter announced that he had talked with Abdul-Salam about the progress made in the Al-Hudaydah port and the need to withdraw Ansarullah forces from the port in order to maintain confidence in the Stockholm agreement and also the need for humanitarian goods for Yemeni people.
The British Foreign Secretary traveled to the Middle East last night on Thursday to meet with the leaders of the three countries of Oman, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates and talk over the Yemeni peace process.
Yemen's Ansarullah Movement said on February 4 that it holds the aggressors responsible for the obstruction of implementation of the Stockholm agreement.
The Political Bureau of Ansarullah Movement also condemned the actions of the Emirati occupiers in Socotra island, Almasirah reported on February 4.
Since March 2015, Saudi Arabia and some of its Arab allies have been carrying out deadly airstrikes against the Ansarullah movement in an attempt to restore power to fugitive Yemen's former President Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi, a close ally of Riyadh.
Over 16,000 Yemenis, including thousands of women and children, have lost their lives in the Saudi-led deadly military campaign and International pressure has been mounting to halt the war. 208/104
