Iran Press/Africa: Tunisia’s position dented speculation that it would be the next Arab country to normalize relations with the Israel regime at the behest of US President Donald Trump.
“As Tunisia respects the sovereign positions of other countries, it affirms that its stance is principled, and changes in the international scene will never affect it,” a foreign ministry statement said.
Earlier, the Tunisian Prime Minister had said that his country has no intention of following in Morocco’s footsteps and normalize ties with the Israeli regime.
In September, Bahrain and the UAE agreed to establish full diplomatic, cultural, and commercial relations with the Israel regime after signing controversial agreements at the White House.
The deals have drawn widespread condemnation from Palestinians, who say the accords ignore their rights and do not serve the Palestinian cause.
