Tehran (IP) - The Iranian Minister of Cultural Heritage, Tourism, and Handicraft said that Tashkent would host a trilateral meeting to create a cheap ground tourism network with the participation of Iran, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan.

Iran PressIran news: On the sidelines of the cabinet session on Wednesday, September 13, Ezzatollah Zarghami told Iran Press about the results of his meeting with his Uzbek counterpart about the expansion of tourism relations: "We had very good practical talks in Baku. He officially invited me to participate in the 20th session of the General Assembly of World Tourism Organization member countries. This meeting will be held in Ashgabat."

Zarghami said that his Uzbek counterpart Aziz Abdul Hakimov said: "In the field of education, he was interested in giving scholarships to Iranians, and I agreed."

"We were also mutually interested that those (Uzbeks) who want to be trained, especially in the field of reparation [of historic monuments], to come to Iran because we have really progressed in the field, that is, both in the field of reparation equipment and in the field of practical work," he added.

The Iranian tourism minister reported an impending meeting in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan, and said that the meeting would address the latest issues related to ground routes so that the ground would be prepared for creating cheap tourism.
