Tehran (IP) - The Commander-in-Chief of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) said in response to the repeated insult to the Holy Qur'an that perpetrators would be severely punished.

Iran PressIran News: Salwan Momika, an Iraqi-Swedish citizen, on Thursday (July 20), with the support of the Swedish police, for the second time in the last few weeks, insulted the Holy Qur'an. This violent action provoked the feelings of Muslims across the world.

Islamic countries condemned the desecration of the Holy Qur'an and summoned Swedish and Danish ambassadors and Swedish officials.

Major-General Hossein Salami, the Commander-in-Chief of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), has labeled the continuous sacrilege of the Holy Qur'an as a satanic strategy and policy. He believes this strategy is defined by anti-Islam think tanks and is often used under the guise of "freedom of speech and opinion" by mercenaries, particularly in Europe.

Major-General Salami added that desecration of the sanctities of Muslims has brought "greater unity to the Islamic Ummah" among the young generation, and has enlightening their thoughts towards the Holy Qur'an.

He further stressed that provoked feelings of Muslims would channel the hatred, revenge, and anger of Muslims towards the enemies of Islam, especially those who insulted the religious and sacred beliefs of Muslims.
