Tehran (IP) - The 7th International Symposium on Biocryosis Engineering was held on Wednesday at Royan Research Institute, in Tehran.

Iran PressIran news: The event was aimed at familiarizing experts in the field of infertility treatment and reproduction with the role of freezing in new assisted reproductive techniques.

Researchers and scientists from Iran and Australia delivered lectures at the bio-freezing engineering symposium.

Abdul Hossein Shahverdi, the head of Royan Research Institute, said that today the world of science has shifted from the one-dimensional state to multi-disciplinary interactions, noting that there have been many changes in treatment, which is the reason for interactions between engineers and doctors.

Developing and promoting ideas is one of the other goals of today's meeting.

Still, Ruhollah Fathi, the Scientific Secretary of the conference referred to 'bio-freezing symposium engineering' as the new term proposed in this edition of the conference, which deals with the use of nanoparticles in egg and embryo freezing.

The meeting is underway both in-person and virtual.
