Moscow(IP)-The head of the Iran Civil Aviation Organization (CAO), said that the memorandum of understanding on the use of training infrastructures, maintenance centers, and supply of parts in the form of memoranda and bilateral agreements between Iran and Russia were signed at the highest level.

Iran PressIran News: Mohammad Mohammadi Bakhsh, on Tuesday, referring to the meeting with Deputy Transport Minister of Russia Igor Chalik, said: "All Iran's confirmation in aviation fields, including standards, maintenance and training departments, design and manufacturing offices, were all approved by the Russian Federation Civil Aviation Authority (CAA)." 

He added: "Also, the use of educational infrastructure and maintenance centers was signed in the form of memorandums and bilateral contracts between Iran and Russia at the highest level." During his trip to Moscow, Mohammadi Bakhsh attended a meeting with the director of The Interstate Aviation Committee (IAC) or Межгосударственный авиационный комитет (MAK). 

During the meeting, it was decided to provide the field of technical cooperation, especially the investigation of air accidents and the use of the infrastructure and experiences of the Interstate Aviation Committee (IAC) for the establishment and operation of advanced accident investigation workshops.

The Interstate Aviation Committee (IAC) is an executive body overseeing the use and management of civil aviation in the Commonwealth of Independent States ( CIS). Its responsibilities include accident investigation in Member States. It was established in 1991 when twelve of the former Soviet Union signed the Intergovernmental Agreement on Civil Aviation and Use of Airspace. In 2013, membership is stated to be Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, the Russian Federation, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, and Ukraine. The Committee is headquartered in Moscow, Russia.
