Taiwan announced that it had concluded its investigation into the September explosion of pagers in Lebanon as the government affirmed that no Taiwanese citizens or companies were involved.

Iran Press/Asia: The September terrorist attacks left a devastating toll, killing and wounding hundreds of people.

Yesterday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confirmed during a cabinet meeting that the Israeli occupation was responsible for the attack. Israeli media revealed that the attack was conducted despite opposition from top officials in the Israeli occupation military and intelligence agencies, including recently sacked Security Minister Yoav Gallant.

According to Al Mayadeen, earlier reports had linked the pagers to Taiwan-based Gold Apollo, a company that denied manufacturing them. Taiwan’s government also confirmed that the pagers were not produced in Taiwan.

Prosecutors in Taipei stated that the AR-924 pager model implicated in the explosion was manufactured, traded, and shipped by a company called Frontier Group Entity, outside of Taiwan. However, they noted that Gold Apollo had authorized the use of its trademark by the firm.

“There is no evidence to suggest that any domestic manufacturers or individuals were involved in the explosions, violated the Counter-Terrorism Financing Act, or engaged in any illegal activities,” the prosecutors said. They added that no criminal activity or individuals linked to such activities were identified during the investigation.
