Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister stated that Iran's proposed initiative which can resolve the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict peacefully is based on several internationally accepted principles, including respect for sovereignty, territorial integrity, the principle of inviolability of borders, ending the occupation, respecting minority rights and the return of refugees.

The Deputy Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Seyed Abbas Araghchi met with the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, in Baku on Wednesday evening and presented him with an Iranian-proposed initiative to resolve the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
