Jihad Rasmi Salim, a veteran cameraman for Al-Alam News Network, was martyred today in Gaza while returning home from covering the conflict, marking another deliberate or reckless attack by the Israeli regime on journalists in the region.

An Israeli airstrike on Monday morning in Gaza City killed five Al Jazeera media workers in a journalists' tent. The fatalities included correspondents Anas al-Sharif and Mohamed Qraiqea, cameramen Ibrahim Zaher and Mohammed Noufal, and crew member Moamen Aliwa, making it one of the deadliest attacks on the press during the Israeli offensive.
