Iran Press/ America: Four people were killed and seven others were injured in an attack on Wednesday afternoon in Rockford, Illinois. Police said some of the victims were stabbed.
Police in Rockford say the attacks occurred following a home invasion on Wednesday afternoon. One of the injured is in critical condition.
According to officials, four of the five surviving victims were last listed in stable condition, while the fifth was in critical condition.
Authorities said those killed include a 15-year-old girl, a 63-year-old woman, a 49-year-old man and a 22-year-old man.
While cold attacks are less common, it is reported that thousands of people lose their lives or are wounded by gunshot attacks in the US yearly. Based on official statistics, there are around 270 to 300 million guns, which is almost one gun for every American.
