Dushanbe(IP)- On Tuesday, January 5th, the specialized exhibition of Iran-made goods was officially opened at the Expo Center in Dushanbe, with the presence of the ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Tajikistan, and a group of Iranian and Tajik officials, as well as economic activists.

Iran PressAsia: Alireza Haghigian stated in the opening speech of the ceremony, due to the deep historical, cultural and linguistic ties between the two nations, the Republic of Tajikistan has always had a special place in the foreign policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

He added: "In recent years, the relations between the two countries have grown significantly in all fields, especially in the economic and commercial sectors, in the light of the neighborhood policy of the 13th government and the the resolution of the presidents."

The ambassador of Iran continued: "President Raisi's recent statements in Dushanbe that we consider the progress and security of Tajikistan to be our own progress and security are at the top of our plans and we will make no effort to expand relations between the parties."

Haghigian considered the goal of increasing the trade exchange between the two countries to the amount of 500 million dollars in the near future as one of the immediate plans of the Iranian embassy and emphasized the need to realize it.
