Iran Press/ Middle East: Saudi Arabia, with the support of the United States, the UAE, and several other countries, has launched a military invasion of Yemen since March 2015, putting a land, sea, and air siege on the impoverished country.
According to the Saba News Agency, the Saudi-led coalition violated the UN ceasefire by conducting reconnaissance flights over the provinces of Ma'rib, Taiz, Jouf, Sa'ada, Al Hudaydah, Dhale, Al Bayda, Hajjah and the border operational axes.
Armed reconnaissance planes of the Saudi coalition targeted residential houses and positions of army forces and popular committees in the Al-Jabalia region of Al-Tahita city, Al Hudaydah Province.
The Saudi-led coalition forces also targeted the positions of the Yemeni army forces and popular committees as well as the citizens' houses in the provinces of Al Hudaydah, Taiz, Ma'rib, Hajjah, Sa'ada, Jizan, Dhale and Najran with heavy artillery, rocket and mortar attacks.
Saudi Arabia's warmongering measures in Yemen has so far killed hundreds of thousands of Yemenis, injured tens of thousands, and displaced millions.
The military aggression has also destroyed more than 85 percent of Yemen's infrastructure, leaving the country severely short of food and medicine.
The United Nations brokered the truce between the two sides, which came into effect in April and was extended for another two months on June 2.
Under the truce, commercial flights have resumed from the Yemeni capital of Sana'a to Jordan and Egypt, while oil tankers have been able to dock in the lifeline port city of Al Hudaydah.
