The Russian Foreign Minister will visit Tehran on Monday to participate in the 3+3 meeting.

Iran PressEurope: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia announced on Sunday that Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will visit Iran on Monday. 

Maria Zakharova, the spokeswoman for the Russian Foreign Ministry, in a short statement said: "We confirm that Lavrov's talks in Tehran are scheduled for Monday."

The trip came after Iran was invited to join BRICS, an alliance consisting of Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa.

The 3+3 meeting will be held tomorrow, Monday, October 23, in Tehran at the level of foreign ministers.

The parties will discuss the issues of the South Caucasus region and try to expand regional cooperation.
