Iran Press/ Europe: "This is another manifestation of the US line in flagrant violation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) for a settlement around the Iranian nuclear program and of UN Security Council resolution 2231," Zakharova said at a briefing on Thursday.
"Of course, we condemn this step. The cancellation of waivers may slow down, but not stop the reconfiguration of the reactor in Arak", she added.
Accusing Washington of undermining international security, Zakharova said: "Washington's actions are becoming more and more dangerous and unpredictable. The nature of this behavior is clearly disruptive."
Foreign ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova made the comments after Washington announced it would end sanctions waivers for nations that remain in a nuclear deal with Iran. The remaining parties to the deal include the UK, China, France, Germany, and Russia.
Secretary of State Mike Pompeo announced on Wednesday that the United States would begin reimposing sanctions on foreign companies doing business with Iran on its nuclear sites, giving countries 60 days to wind down their operations.
Iran and the Great Powers reached a historic agreement in July 2015 (July / August 2015) that in the face of the lifting of sanctions, Iran would limit its nuclear activities and suspend some, but in May 2018 (Ordibehesht 1397) Donald Trump unilaterally withdrew from the agreement and re-imposed sanctions.
