Iran Press/Iran News: Speaking on Sunday evening in a meeting with University professors and tenured faculty members, Hassan Rouhani said,"Today, we all have to choose a single path, and as the representative of the Iranian nation, I announce that there is no way other than resistance in these conditions".
Iranian President said: "If the enemies understand that they have gone the wrong way, then we can sit around the negotiation table and settle any problem”.
Rouhani added, "We need to be united and integrated for resistance and steadfastness, and the people need to be fully aware of the current conditions and have no doubt that the way that the authorities have chosen is a good one," Iran Press reported.
"Current conditions tougher than any other time"
On the dire conditions of the country, he continued, “Americans are claiming that they have never put as such pressure on Iran, therefore, the conditions are tougher than any other time. On the one hand, they have said that they do not favour the Islamic Republic of Iran system, and on the other hand, they say that the Iranian people need to change their behaviour”.
“The enemies sometimes set preconditions for negotiating with Iran, but in the recent weeks, they have been saying that they have no preconditions. They used to threaten us as if they were the greatest military power, but today, they are announcing that they are not after a war and just want us not to have an atomic bomb, which is of course baseless,” continued Rouhani.
"Advancement in science & health, among greatest victories"
The president went on to say, “Figures and statistics indicate that one of our greatest victories after the Islamic Revolution has been advancement in science and health”.
“In the past, we used to send patients abroad for a surgery, he added, saying, “But today, it is the other way round and many Iranians and non-Iranians come to Iran from outside to have surgeries”.
“Today, our universities are ideal in terms of quantity, but we need to work hard to increase the quality as well,” Iran Press quoted Rouhani as saying.
The President added, “We need to pay attention to the fact that anyone who is graduated from university should have learnt a skill to easily find a job and take responsibility in the society”.
"Science and technology can resolve problems"
President Rouhani also said, “The greatest asset of the country is human, scientific and social capital, and it is science that creates money and science and modern technology can bring welfare and resolve problems”.
