The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Ireland announced on Tuesday that its diplomatic presence in Iran will be resumed and the Irish Embassy in Tehran will be reopened in 2023.
The Irish government closed its embassies in Tehran and the Vatican in 2011 to save the government's expenditure. 219
