Buenos Aires (IP)—The Lebanese community in Argentina mobilized in Buenos Aires to draw attention to Lebanon's critical situation and demonstrate peace and solidarity.

Iran Press/America: This weekend, the Youth of the Argentine Lebanese Cultural Union (JUCAL) organized a rally in Buenos Aires to raise awareness of the critical situation Lebanon is experiencing. The demonstration began at the intersection of Avenida del Libertador and República del Líbano street, at the Khalil Gibran monument.

Participants crossed the historic bridge before the University of Buenos Aires’ Law School, where they paused briefly to make their protest more visible. The rally featured flags and signs, the most striking symbol being an enormous Lebanese flag carried by dozens of people.

The president of the Youth of the Argentine Lebanese Cultural Union in Buenos Aires, Andres Agustin Garcia, To the Iran Press reporter said: "We are here to raise awareness of the grave situation in Lebanon, which is not being covered by the media in Argentina. Sadly, we have to unite because of a tragedy like the invasion that is destroying our cultural and national heritage. As descendants of Lebanese people, we constantly worry and have to contact our families there to make sure they are safe."

Guadalupe Volanos, president of the Youth of the Argentine Lebanese Cultural Union and the World Lebanese Cultural Union Youth Council added: "The situation in Lebanon is very critical; we are at war. We organized this rally to raise awareness and call for peace in our country. The turnout was extensive, and we are posting QR codes throughout the city so people can get informed about what is happening in Lebanon."

Residents and passersby joined the demonstration, showing their support and solidarity with the Lebanese cause.

Toussaint, a descendant of Lebanese immigrants, expressed his sorrow: Lebanon is going through a genocide. Peace is something that unites everyone, regardless of ideology. Although the war is visible in real-time, many people turn a blind eye. As a Lebanese descendant, I feel the pain of having family there, living through a true hell. We must keep raising our voices for peace, not just for Lebanon, but for the entire world." 204
