Iran Press/ Middle East: Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi arrived at Muscat Airport and was received by the Sultan of Oman Haitham bin Tariq Al Said.
Raisi's visit to Muscat is the first visit of the President of Iran to Oman during the term of the new Sultan of Oman and the fifth foreign visit of the President of Iran in the 9 months after the establishment of the 13th Administration.
The talks explored various aspects of bilateral cooperation and ways of enhancing the strong ties binding the peoples of Oman and Iran. The aim is to exchange views about issues of common concern.
President Raisi also met with Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers.
The meeting discussed areas of cooperation between the two countries and means of promoting them to serve the joint interests. They also exchanged views on some regional and international developments.
The meeting was attended by Sayyid Badr bin Hamad al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, Eng Said bin Hamoud al Maawali, Minister of Transport, Communications and Information Technology (Head of the Mission of Honour), Qais bin Mohammed al Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, Ibrahim bin Ahmed al Muaini, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Islamic Republic of Iran, and members of the delegation accompanying the Iranian President.
