Iran Press/ Africa: The president considered monotheism, anti-colonialism, and right-seeking to be the common ground between the people of Iran and Zimbabwe and said: "Iran and Zimbabwe can cooperate in the economic, agricultural, mining and commercial fields and Iran is ready to share its experiences."
According to Iran Press, Ebrahim Raisi, after the official talks between the presidents of the two countries, stated in a joint press conference with his Zimbabwean counterpart in Harare: "Last year, we had a meeting with the President (Emmerson Mnangagwa) on the sidelines of the annual meeting at the United Nations, which was a good and successful meeting."
Raisi considered the message of this visit as the will of the two countries to develop relations in all fields, especially in political, economic, commercial, and science and technology fields, and said: "Iran is ready to cooperate with the friendly country of Zimbabwe according to the capacities between the two countries."
The president continued: "Thanks to the Islamic revolution and the blood of the martyrs, and thanks to the guidance of the wise leadership of Imam Khamenei's revolution, despite the threats and sanctions, we have been able to make good progress."
He said: "Perhaps it is not believable for the enemy that Iran achieves this level of progress despite all the restrictions and sanctions, but they have learned that a nation can progress and reach the top by relying on God, self-confidence, and trusting in the ability of a nation."
He pointed out: "The great nation of Iran has been able to stand against the 8-year war and many conspiracies and seditions by relying on the Almighty God and by trusting in the country's many assets and capabilities, including its determined human resources and passionate youth instead of surrendering in front of the enemy have made them retreat."
President Raisi elsewhere stated: "We have a basis for interaction with all countries, and this is not limited to a few western countries. Western countries sometimes consider their work to be the world community, but the world community consists of all countries in all continents."
Saying that Africa has many capacities, Ayatollah Raisi said: "This continent has natural resources and good resources, and there are human resources and talented young people in this continent, and each of them can be the cause of transformation."
"We are against unilateralism and sanctions, and sanctions are like a military tool that harms nations. Sanctions are a tool at the disposal of the United States," added he.
"The people of Zimbabwe have a lot in common with the people of Iran; one of them is monotheism. These people feel that considering the commonalities, they can pursue goals with Iran," Raisi added.
