Tehran (IP)- Stating that Iran has plans for the development of relations with Japan in various fields, Iran President said, "Oppressive sanctions against the Islamic Republic, as it has not been a success and achievement for the United States, should not and cannot be an obstacle to the development of relations between the two countries".

Iran PressIran News: Speaking in the ceremony of receiving the credentials of the new ambassador of Japan Tsukada Tamaki, early on Sunday,  Ebrahim Raisi stated that the relations between the two countries are long-standing, deep, and progressing, adding, "Iran has plans for the development of relations with Japan in various fields, and oppressive sanctions against the Islamic Republic, as it has not been a success and achievement for the United States, should not and cannot be an obstacle to the development of relations between the two countries".

Referring to the state of international developments, the President said, "Today, when we look wherever there is unrest, conflict and war, the footprints of America can be seen there; From the use of the atomic bomb against the people of Japan to today's crimes against the people of Gaza, America plays a central and essential role.

The Japanese ambassador also conveyed the most sincere goodwill of the emperor and the prime minister of Japan to the president, described the relations between the two countries as warm and close, and said, "Japan appreciates the efforts of your Excellency's government to promote the welfare of the Iranian nation and deepen and strengthen regional relations. I have to do my best to strengthen and continue the good process in the development of relations."
