Tehran(IP)- The 313-bed hospital of Imam Khomeini (RA) in Shahryar, after 34 years, was opened today on the occasion of the birth of Hazrat Zainab (PBUH) and Nurse's Day in Iran, with the presence of the President, Ebrahim Raisi.

Iran PressIran news: The Imam Khomeini (RA) hospital in Shahryar City was left unfinished for 34 years due to a disagreement between the board of directors and a team of benefactors who rolled up their sleeves to build it.

The process of completing and starting to attract its expertise intensified so that its 74% physical progress reached 100% and the exploitation stage. With this policy, the 13th government has managed to put 15 thousand hospital beds into operation in the last 2 years, most of which were related to the completion of half-finished projects in the treatment and hospital sectors.

In May 2022, during his visit to Shahryar city, the president was informed about the problems and obstacles in the completion of the Imam Khomeini (RA) Shahryar Hospital, so he ordered it to be completed within one year. 

President Raisi: Gazan Medical straff struggles to be rerecorded in history

The Iranian President said on Sunday that the movement of medical staff in Gaza is a model for the world's nursing community and their struggles to be recorded the history of the Palestinian struggle.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony of Shahriar county's Imam Khomeini Hospital on Sunday morning said that The world is very saddened stressing:

" These days because of the tragic events that are happening in the Gaza Strip. I have to commemorate the medical staff who serve patients in Gaza and the medical staff who were martyred in Gaza."

Delivering speech at the opening ceremony of Imam Khomeini Shahriar Hospital   Iranian president Ebrahim  Raisi added: "Indeed, the medical staff in Gaza had a special struggle alongside the fighters, which will be recorded in the history of the Palestinian struggle."

" In my opinion, the movement of medical staff in Gaza is a model for the world's nursing community. For all those who are in the medical field, how motivated people are to sacrifice their lives to serve the Palestinian women, men and children. We appreciate them.", added he .
