In a Phone call with Haniyah

Tehran (IP) - In a telephone conversation with Ismail Haniyeh, head of the political bureau of the Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas, Iran's President-elect emphasized that the Palestinian nation would not be left alone in this difficult situation.

Iran Press/Iran news: While congratulating Masoud Pezeshkian over the winning of the Iranian people's trust in a phone call on Sunday evening, Ismail Haniyeh described the election as an event to show off the power of the Iranian nation and the Islamic Republic system saying:

"I must appreciate your response to my congratulatory message, which was the carrier of authentic Islamic positions towards the Palestinian nation and resistance; This message indicates your future policy in the continuation of the positions of the Islamic Republic of Iran regarding the issue of Palestine and the freedom of Al-Quds and Al-Aqsa Mosque."

The head of the political bureau of the Hamas movement further explained the latest situation in Gaza, referring to the fact that more than 9 months have passed since the "Al-Aqsa Flood" operation, and called this operation one of the greatest battles of the Palestinian nation to liberate its land and added: "The Zionist regime and its supporters have committed the biggest and most horrifying crimes and massacres during these 9 months."

Haniyeh also pointed to the crime committed by the Zionist regime in the Khan Yunis region of Gaza on Saturday and stated:

"Every time the Zionists have committed such crimes, they justify that they are seeking to martyr the main commanders of Hamas, but these claims are to mislead the general public and are completely false. "

The head of the political bureau of the Hamas movement stated that this crime and previous similar crimes occurred while Hamas and other resistance groups had positive attitudes towards the ceasefire proposals and negotiations, and said:

"We had explicitly agreed to the recent ceasefire proposal and it was stated that the Israeli regime was also going to agree to it, but Netanyahu committed new crimes and now he has proposed new conditions. It is clear that he is not only looking for a cease-fire agreement, but he is also looking for the expansion of the war! "

In this telephone conversation, while condemning the crime committed by the Zionist regime on Saturday and expressing his condolences to the Palestinians, Pezeshkian also noted that committing such crimes shows the determination of the Zionist regime to continue the crime and killing of innocent and defenseless Palestinians in Gaza with the aim of crushing the spirit of Palestinian resistance, which of course is thanks to Devine blessings will not succeed.

Thanking the head of the political office of the Hamas movement for his congratulations, the president-elect described and specified the support of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the oppressed Palestinian nation based on Islamic, human, and moral teachings and the guidelines of Late Imam Khomeini and the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution:

"My government will prioritize the issue of Palestine as the central issue of the Islamic world; We will try to achieve a ceasefire and stop killing in the Gaza Strip with the cooperation and companionship of other Islamic and neighboring countries, using all political and diplomatic leverages."

Stating that in the next step, we will seriously pursue the end of the long-term occupation of the Palestinian lands, Pezeshkian said: "We believe that the future of Gaza and Palestine should be determined by the people of this land and within the framework of the Palestinian-Palestinian agreement. Without considering this fact, any other plan and initiative will be doomed to failure."
