During the meeting with the President of Iraq, Iran's President said that it is necessary to form a union of Islamic countries and called for the expansion of economic agreements between Iran and Iraq.

Iran Press/West Asia: The President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Masoud Pezeshkain, during the meeting with the President of Iraq, Abdullatif Jamal Rashid, while emphasizing the need to pay more attention to bilateral and regional cooperation, called for the formation of specialized commissions between the two countries to expand political and economic relations as much as possible. 

Pezeshkian called for moving towards removing the borders of Islamic countries, similar to the experience of the European Union.

Iran's President expressed his hope that financial and economic agreements and cooperation for the development of security and regional stability between the two countries will be expanded.

Stating that the strengthening of unity among Islamic countries will lead to the ineffectiveness of sanctions, Pezeshkain stated: Unity among Islamic countries will dry up the roots of Zionist terrorism.

In this meeting, the President of Iraq, while welcoming the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, honored the memory of Martyr Raisi and Martyr Amirabdollahian.

Abdullatif Jamal Rashid emphasized the move towards removing the dollar from financial transactions.

The President of Iraq welcomed the formation of agreements and the signing of more cooperation documents between the two countries of the Islamic Republic of Iran and Iraq.

Abdullatif Jamal Rashid condemned the violation of Iran's territorial sovereignty and the assassination of martyr Ismail Haniyeh and the killing of the people of Gaza and Palestine.204
